Resource Estimation Geologist
· Resource estimation geologist required for multi-commodity minerals work in Australia and overseas · Opportunity to join a flexible and well respected group of specialists working on a variety of interesting projects at various stages of development · Involvement in feasibility studies, QA/QC, geological modelling using your mining software skills.
H&S is seeking the services of a geologist(s) skilled in the areas of advanced evaluation of mineral deposits including resource estimation, geostatistics and geological databases. Proficiency in a recognised mining software package, good all round communication and leadership skills, as well as an active involvement in either the AusIMM or AIG will be well regarded.
Ideally, you will have at least 15 years of operational experience in mine geology and/or mineral exploration as well as an aptitude for the application of computer-based skills to the minerals industry. You will be required to travel within Australia and overseas and will be a Competent Person in various areas of resource estimation. Experience in a range of commodities will be an advantage.
H&S has offices in Brisbane, Perth and Sydney. We are currently involved in advanced mineral projects, involving a variety of commodities, throughout the world. The geology and resource estimation components of the feasibility studies have underpinned the success of many recent operations. H&S develops and supports software for database, resource modelling and mine production.
We have an immediate need for a geologist with a sound working knowledge of QA/QC, geological modelling, resource estimation methods and the feasibility process to work in our Brisbane office. We would also consider any appropriate candidate with skills in the area of geostatistics, advanced evaluation or database applications for positions in Brisbane, Sydney and Perth.
