Jon Abbott
Jon is a consulting
geologist employed with H&S in their West Australian Perth office. He has
sixteen years experience in economic geology with a focus on mine geology and
resource/reserve evaluation. Before joining H&S, he worked for several mining
companies within Australia and internationally, including Son’s of Gwalia
(Marvel Loch WA), Ross Mining (Gold Ridge, Solomon Islands), and most recently
Barrick Gold (Kanowna, WA).
Jon's expertise and interests include:
 | Planning and management of mine exploration and resource development
programs at operating mines and advanced exploration projects.

| Resource estimation for a variety of deposit styles using classical and
geostatisical techniques.

| Preparation of JORC compliant resource and reserve statements.
|
| Assessment of drill hole sampling and assay quality, and development of
appropriate quality control procedures for resource development and grade
control programmes.

| Open pit mine geology, including personnel supervision, design and
implementation of systems for grade control, production reporting, and
reconciliation.

| Coordination of project evaluation studies and leadership of study teams.
|
| Financial evaluation of mineral resources, and analysis of mining
scenarios including open pit optimisation.

| Technical supervision and training of geological and other personnel in
resource estimation, grade control and resource evaluation activities.
|
| Utilisation of many mining software packages including Gemcom, Vulcan,
Whittle and others |
